I started this business back in July 2016 and over the years I have built up a lovely set of clients with beautiful pets of all shapes and sizes. Firstly, I would like to thank all of them for their trust in me. I appreciate that handing over your house keys to someone you have just met is a massive decision to make. Secondly, I would like to thank everyone for their return bookings. It's great to know that I am providing a service that people are very happy with........check out their feedback in the various sections and below.
***Well 2020 has been a very strange year, Covid-19 has taken a lot away from people both physically and mentally as well as taking loved ones too soon. With the Tier restrictions in place I know some will have a better Christmas than others but please do have as Happier Christmas as you possibly can and may 2021 bring you health and happiness, Happy New Year ***
December picked up a little bit but we were still in Tier 3 lockdown. I had some days with my regulars, Bobby and Nancy and then welcomed my new client, Jenson who is about 13 weeks old.....he's soooo cute!!
"Kylie has helped us out for a few weeks with our new puppy and so far she’s been brilliant. She is flexible and has been a godsend with settling a new puppy into a busy family. Hoping to keep her on board for a long time to help with exercising a big energetic dog"
.... Rachel Hilmo (Jenson)
November has been tough again for many people and businesses, mine included. Although I did manage to walk Bobby for a couple of days.
After 2nd December Birmingham will sit within Lockdown Tier 3.

Due to the latest government announcement the UK is to go on a 4 week National Lockdown. ALL non-essential businesses are to close until 2nd December. My apologies to those who were already booked in (I have already contacted you privately).
October has been a bit quiet due to people being told to work from home again. However, I have been back with Bobby and I have been seeing Nancy. I also did a 'meet and greet' in the park with a small family and their new puppy, who doesn't have a name yet, but he's adorable.
Covid-19 Restrictions Update: The government has put a tier system in place. Birmingham is currently on Tier 2 which means people from different households cannot mix. As a result any meet & greets will not be able to take place indoors.
Birmingham is currently on a Covid-19 part-lockdown. Therefore I will not be able to carry out home-visits for the 'meet & greets' prior to bookings, but we can meet in the park and do them there.
September has been fun with a fortnight of morning visiting the beautiful boys, Fred and Stan. They have loved their cuddles and fuss up on the bed, then they have their brekkie and go out for the day. I've seen Sakura and I've been with Nancy on her regular days. I've done evening feeds for the fluffiest cat on my books, Romeo and we've managed to have some lovely cuddles.During the month I spend a few days with Bobby on a live-in too.
Then a big welcome to Coco. I will be visiting her at lunchtimes for 3 days a week, once a fortnight. She is a beautiful little labradoodle but barks a lot as she is going through a guarding phase, and she is quite nervous of new people too. In cases like these I like to do a couple of 'meet & greet' home visits so the dog/or cat is more settled and had had the time to get to know me. The first visit I was there almost 2 hours with them and the second one was an about an hour. This made her a lot more accepting of me when I came into the house and she was on her own....When it came to doing the job she was quite barky and unsettled on the first day, better on the second and by day 3 she didn't bark at all, she was happy to have her lead on and go into the garden and she was happy to play with her toys....such a vast difference in a few days.

"I'm so happy to see that he's warming up to you too so soon. It makes going away so much easier knowing he's in good hands"
... Danielle (Romeo)
(on the first day he was comfortable with me, coming up to me, having his food, treats and a little bit of fuss. It normally takes him a few days to get to that level of trust with someone.)
"Kylie is an excellent dog sitter who I highly recommend . She is very conscientious and took time to understand our dog. Watching her interaction with our dog she is highly skilled at getting on with dogs and playing with them. She is very punctual , reliable and tidy. She is also excellent in her communications" |
Government guidelines have relaxed and PAWfect Friends will continue to trade in August. However please be alert to your local Lock-Down status. If your area does lockdown then please DO NOT book me. If Sutton Coldfield Locks-Down then trading will cease until we are released....Thank you
August has been busier than I expected it to be, it's been great to be working again even though it's nowhere near full capacity yet.
The month began with two return clients, Romeo and Finlay, then I had Nancy on the Fridays as usual. I welcomed new clients Zoe's with her adorable little kitten, Mischief. Then I had two jobs with James and Daisy, the first was a long weekend and the the second was a week. I also welcomed another new client, Jolene with her cat Sox. Sox was a little apprehensive at first but i spent most of my time sat on the floor with her to gain her trust, by the last two days she was starting to come and sit with me on the sofa and enjoy our cuddle time. The month continued with a couple of days with Bobby and then some walkies trips with Shay. I even saw Sakura for a couple of hours. August finished with two lovely meet & greets with new clients who I will look forward to working with, one starts next month and the other will be towards the end of the year.

"You’re Finlay’s favourite sitter too. Thank you for taking such great care of him, Kylie. We wouldn’t trust anyone else with him!"
.... Ed Charlton via Whatsapp
"Kylie was great. She made leaving my kitten for the first time completely unstressful and sent me lots of pics so i didn’t miss Mischief too much" ... Zoe Byass via Pawshake
"First time we used Kylie's services but won’t be the last. I felt totally comfortable going away for a week and leaving my cat in her care. We had daily updates and pictures and the communication from start to finish was A Class. I would recommend Kylie to anyone. Your pet will be in good hands"......Jolene Berry via WhatsApp
I have officially been working again since the 1st July but obviously bookings are slow as people are still working from home and are wary about travelling. In the last week of June I had an afternoon with Bobby and then I began working with Nancy once a week from the 4th July. I had a beautiful nutty greetings from both dogs who did double-takes in shock that I had actually walked through the door.
The month continued with the weekly visits to Nancy and then I had Bella and Bear return for the last week of the month.
As long as the Government Covid-19 Guidelines continue to relax I should
re-open for business on 1st July 2020
Business is temporarily suspended due to the Coronavirus Pandemic
Please stay at home, and stay safe everyone!
In March I welcomed a new client, a beautiful cat called Toby. I looked after him for just over a week, he became a very chatty kitty and liked his belly rubs and his play. I also fed the pond fish in the garden and watered a number of plants round the house. The owners had booked me for a fortnight a few days after this break but unfortunately their flights were cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
"Kylie is responsible and caretaking lady. She look after out cat Toby while we were away on holidays. It was our first experience with her. She also look after our indoor plants and fed pond fish daily. Toby had a great time with Kylie. She was daily in touch with us via Pawshake web site and we received daily photos of Toby and pond fish. We received excellent service and I recommend her service every one.".... Sarabjit Osahan via Pawshake.
Towards the end of March I welcomed Romeo back. He is still very timid but by the end of this set of visits he was sat on my lap getting fuss and purring his head off
"Aw I'm so happy that hes come and sit on you. That's made me so happy. Aw those photos of him in the sun are lovely. Thanks so much for looking after him while we've been away. Best of luck in your business over the next difficult few month. Hopefully things go ok".... Danielle (Romeo) via Pawshake
"This was our second time booking with Kylie. She has been wonderful with out very shy cat and took the time to get to know him and interact with him. Will definitely be using Kylie again in the future for any pet sitting we need." ....Pawshake Review from Danielle
The rest of March was pretty busy too. As well as my normal days with Sakura and Nancy I also had a 10 day live-in with Bobby. This meant that she also had a few play-dates with the other girls. I had my last booked walk with Shay for the time being too.
Things were going great until around the 20th when the Coronavirus hit the UK. All non-essential business was suspended and people were told to stay at home. Initially this was for 3 weeks, although vulnerable people have been told to lock-down for 12 weeks. My bookings were cancelled, its essential but a shame, I had no free days until 1st May, how things were. Business will return - safety is more important.

February has been pretty hectic with my normal days with Bobby, Sakura and Nancy. I had a couple of 'meet and greets' for new clients that will be coming up in March. I had some visits to Fred & Stan, some walks with Shay, followed by a 'live-in' with Bobby. The month ended with visits to Cookie and an afternoon with Sakura.
Happy New Year to all my clients!
The New Year began with feeding visits to James and Daisy, I had my regular days with Bobby and I began sitting Sakura on Wednesdays. The trial with Nancy came to an end and I was happy to tell Alexa that the journey to hers is workable. She was really pleased. The month ended with Vlad and Cronsp coming to visit again, this time with an extra tub with their larvae babies in it.
Bobby had her leg surgery in the middle of the month, so she ended up being thoroughly spoilt with fuss and reiki. She was on a lot of medication too, which I had no problem giving her. I also changed her dressing and iced her leg as per the vets instructions. By the end of the month she was mobile and walking a short distance.
