I started this business back in July 2016 and over the years I have built up a lovely set of clients with beautiful pets of all shapes and sizes. Firstly, I would like to thank all of them for their trust in me. I appreciate that handing over your house keys to someone you have just met is a massive decision to make. Secondly, I would like to thank everyone for their return bookings. It's great to know that I am providing a service that people are very happy with........check out their feedback in the various sections and below.
Wishing all my clients, past and present, a wonderful Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year
I initially thought December was looking fairly quiet but bookings came rushing in for the month in the first week. My December began completing the live-in with Dexter. I also had my regular clients, the two Coco's. I had a walk booked in with Shay, a couple of visits with Raffles & Enfys and 5 days with Rippled & Tango. I welcomed a new client, Andrea with her cat Flash. She's a beautiful little 16 year old Persian lady, who loves her brushes and fuss. I'm looking after her for about 4 weeks, until 9th January. Over Christmas and New Year I also had visits with Daisy, Alfie & Ellie and Minina.
November was pretty hectic with my regular visits to the two Coco's and a sit with Bentley and Raffles & Enfys. I then had a couple of weeks with Toby and Vera. Also I had a week of visits to Ripples & Tango an an evening with Paddy. The month ended with a live-in with Dexter which continued into December.
October started off on the live-in with Bobby. I was also still doing twice a day visits to Cookie, and then had visits to Merlin, August and Maddie for a few weeks too. I still had my regular visits to the two Coco's and I welcomed new clients, Minina and Gina. I also had a return booking with Ellie and Alfie. One of my existing clients had acquired some Guinea Pigs (Ginger & Pompom) so I had a week looking after them and also a couple of evening sits with Dexter, who is healing up well after his knee surgery. I also manages to get a walk in with Shay too.

"We are so pleased with Kylie from beginning to the end. She's been visiting our female cat at our home while we were abroad and she sent us pictures of our cat, played with her, gave her treats. All we can say is many thanks to Kylie, excellent service and professionalism. We will repeat 100% with Kylie next time we travel abroad." |
On 18th October I was sadly informed that James lost his battle with diabetes. I was meant to have him and Daisy for a weekend but for other reasons the owners had to cancel. Unfortunately the same weekend James became lethargic on the Friday evening and despite all efforts they had to let him go on the Sunday. James was a pleasure to be around, a lovely chatty, fussy boy who I will greatly miss. Love to his owners and Daisy, his little partner in crime.

It's not uncommon to get gifts from clients, which I'm always so grateful for. I get paid and never expect anything above that, so bottles of wine and chocolates, biscuits etc are always a nice surprise. But, when Karen gave me these in October I did have a snuffle because of the effort she had put in to hand-making this lovely scarf and beanie hat. I shared this picture on social media and she commented below:
"We would be lost without you and a treat is a sign of our appreciation although Dexter didn't contribute that much, other than a stray hair here and there in the knitting" |
September welcomed back little Coco as the school holidays had finished. Visits to Aurora and Harry continued for a couple of days and then I had a live-in with Paddy over in Amington. I managed to get a couple of days off before I got super busy again. I had my regular walks with Coco, then a month of visits to Cookie whilst her owners were away. I also had visits with James & Daisy, Ripples & Tango and Dexter. I also had Nala for an afternoon and Shay for a couple of walks too. At the end of the month I began a weeks live-in with Bobby.
A message from little Coco's owner, Alison
"sorry it's late but just wanted to say a huge thank you for this week. It gives us such peace of mind to know you're popping in to see Coco xx"
A message from Cookie's owner, Tania.
(Cookie was poorly about 10 days in to the sit, so as per Tania's instructions I took her to the vet. I followed the vet guidance and suspended her metacam, gave her a daily medication to treat her stomach along with a special food for a week. She was back to normal so I eased her back on to her old food again)

August has been a very busy month with regulars and some new additions too.
I had a break in my regular visits to little Coco as of the school holidays but carried on with the other Coco. I welcomed Jodie with her Guinea Pigs Coco and Cookie. They were lovely and friendly and liked their fuss in between putting them out for the day in their run and bringing them back in to their hutch at night. I had James and Daisy for a trial weekend (they are old clients but poor James has become diabetic and now needs insulin twice a day), this went well with his twice daily jabs and I had them again for two weeks later in the month. I had Bella and Bear back for a week and a visit to Raffles & Enfys too. I spent a lovely week with the big boy, Dexter. After that I had walks with Shay, the husky and then some visits to Sox. The month ended with 2 beautiful new clients, Aurora and Harry, Ragdoll cats.

Review from Jodie (Guinea Pigs)
"Kylie looked after our guinea pigs whilst we were away on holiday. They were looked after so well. Her care and attention towards them was more than I could have ever asked for. She sent us some wonderful photographs of them. We were so lucky to have found Kylie and would highly recommend her pet services." |
Review from Pete (James & Daisy's Owner)

June saw me back with Bobby for 2 live-in's and we explored some new walks, which she loved. I had the beautiful Shay for some walks and spent time with my regular two Coco's. I had some dates with Cookie and an overnight with Monty. The month ended with a much needed week off work...This has been my first since the first two lockdowns.
May has been super busy for me. The long live-in with Dexter continued whilst having regular visits out to Cookie and the two Coco's. I had a couple of walks with Bobby, along with some visits to see Raffles & Enfys. The month ended with another live-in, this time with Flick, Peppa and Skye and the 6 Guinea Pigs.
In April I continued my regular trips to little Coco and the other Coco, I had Bobby for a day and then did a sit for Monty. The month carried on with a few days looking after Cookie and Raffles & Enfys. It's nice that Enfys is starting to trust me more, he will not let people touch him yet alone pick him up. I've been building up his fuss as I clip his lead on/off and it's paying off as I manage to get a short cuddle in too.
I welcomed new clients - Ripples and Tango, did visits to Bella & Bear and James & Daisy. I also had a couple of live-is with Paddy and Monty. The month ended with a long live-in with Dexter and visits to Cookie. Ooh and on my first day with Dexter we celebrated his 2nd Birthday.

Dexter sustained an injury to his back left leg a couple of days before the live-in started. His owner, Karen, asked me to take him to the vets if it didn't improve. Unfortunately it didn't and I had to take him. Obviously I've had to manage his walks differently, lead only and no running or jumping. This meant his energy levels were high and he was wanting to play up to midnight.
"Aww you're such a good other mommy" - message off Karen who is happy for him to have an X-Ray as the vet advised if the painkillers don't work. "You are doing such a good job and I am so grateful we have you" "You are so lovely" - after explaining how i'm handling his walks now he's come off his pain medication - building up slowly as the vet advised The live-in continued into May and a few days after his pain medication finished he was holding his leg awkwardly again at random times, so I booked him in for an X-ray.

There has been a lot going on in March and it has been a lovely mix of clients. I had my usual walks with Coco and then a live-in with Bobby which was for just over 2 weeks. I had a visit with Raffles and Enfys and then a weekend with Paddy whilst his owners got married - Congratulations Ellis and Ben!
Do you remember the horrible attack on the beautiful little Luna back in January, well the family couldn't cope with the gap she left so had their rainbow puppy, Coco, who I started doing regular weekly visits for.
I then did a few days live-in with Mr Dexter and I also did feeding and fuss visits to Cookie. I managed to have Nala for a walk and see the new baby again too - - awww so cute - Congratulations Maria and Richard!!. The month finished off with and evening sit with a new client, Bentley and then an overnighter with new clients Skye and Naya.

Review on my Facebook Page from Pat (Juliet's Owner)
"We have a very nervous pooch called Juliet. I can thoroughly recommend Kylie, she is so gentle and kind with our little dog. Juliet loves to see her, and we have no worries at all leaving Juliet in her care."
February has been incredibly busy with people starting to go on longer holidays. The month started with a big 2 week live-in with the beautiful Bobby. Whilst there I managed to still see regular clients like Raffles & Enfys, Paddy and Coco. It was nice to see Daisy and Lily for a visit followed by Juliet. I then welcome a new client, Monty. The final week I had visits back with Bella & Bear, who still love their laser pen games. I had a couple of walks with Bobby and some with Nala and did my first overnight with Raffles & Enfys. I also squeezed in some new client 'meet & greets' too.

January began with my normal hours with the beautiful Bernese, Nala. Sadly for me, my regular hours with her finished on the 14th because her owner began her maternity leave. Maria and Rich surprised me with a lovely card and Orchid which was so nice of them.....As they only live round the corner I will still get my fix of Nala cuddles, just not as frequently. I wish them both all the best and look forward to meeting bubs when he/she arrives.
Whilst on my last week with Nala I welcomed new client - Luna, a beautiful 12 week old Cavapoo. The first session with her went really well and we had lots of kisses and cuddles and play.
Sadly the night before my next visit I had a message from Alison, shortly afterwards I posted this on my Facebook page and here:
"I had the pleasure of working with this little cutie, Luna, last week for the first time, she was to be a new regular...I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear from the family tonight that she had passed away this morning. She had been attacked by another dog on Cannock Chase. ... The family are obviously devastated and they and little Luna will be in my thoughts." May you have a wonderful life on the other side of that rainbow bridge little one. |
Over the rest of the course of January I welcomed another new client with their beautiful cats Ellie and Alfie. I also had sits with Paddy, Dexter, Juliet and Raffles & Enfys. I had a week with Cookie and the lovely boxer, Nancy was back on the rota too
Reviews from Gemma (owner of Ellie & Alfie)
